Felting Needles Types:

-Triangular needles are the most common needle type and great for all kind of needle felting projects. They have 3 sides.red-S- 40 Gauge - detailing,green-M- 38 Gauge - working and shaping,gold-L- 36 Gauge - starting and shaping,black-XS- 42 Gauge - sculpting.

-Spiral (twisted) felting needles are the same as triangular, but the blade is twisted. The twist needles lock fibers together very quickly; great for finishing off surfaces.The color of the twisted needle is pink and purple.

-Star felting needles have 4 sides; as a result they have more barbs for quicker felting, and also more suited for work with course fibers; great for joining pieces together and for sculpting.The color of the star needle is gold

 -Cone felting needles have three sides. They are used for creating textures like fuzz or fur; great for all kind of needle felting projects.The color of cone felting needles is white and red.

CAUTION: Felting needles are very sharp and fragile. To protect yourself (and needles) you must work with your fibres on a sponge or felting mat. Using finger protectors is advisable.
