Installation of threaded inserts is a critical step in repairing tables, benches, and more. The DCT T-Wrench for 5/16"-18 Inserts - T-Shape Handle Screw Tool, Insert Installer, Threaded Insert Installation helps you manually Install 5/16"-18 threaded inserts straight without damaging the wood or fastener. Simply drill a hole that is the size of the insert (not including the threads), screw the T-wrench into a threaded insert, and use a 14"-20 threaded screw in the insert to screw into the wood. This T-style wrench is not intended for threaded insert removal once installed. If you wish to remove a threaded insert, thread a nut onto a bolt, screw the bolt into the insert, wrench the nut down tightly on top of the insert, and then back the bolt-nut-insert assembly out of the wood.
