U.S. Solid's Pure Nickel Strips consist of 99.6% Nickel, which make the ideal for spot welding and building battery packs. Battery packs consist of many Lithium-ion cells that are assembled into a pack. Lithium-ion cells are made in various sizes, often assembled into packs for portable equipment. Many battery packs also include an internal protection circuit to prevent over-discharge and short-circuit damage. This can increase their physical length of the Lithium-ion battery pack. For example, an 18650 is around 65 mm (2.6 in) in length, but can be up to 68 mm (2.7 in) long if an internal protection circuit is added. To recharge these cells in a safe and economic fashion, the use of a charger specified for these cells is required.
