This soft box is great for product photography, especially bottles and other round reflective items. They can also be used for ¾ length portraits and are also widely used to light backgrounds where the length helps avoid falloff from top to bottom. The 20x51" Rotalux Strip Soft box is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the 20x51" Rotalux Strip comes standard with a silver interior and a flush front face. The flush mounted front face provides a wider spread of light than a box with a recessed front. It may be used as side light without as much wrap around as a conventional rectangular soft box. The 20 x 51" (50 x 130 cm) strip shape features a large surface area which renders a "wrap-around" light quality especially when used at close range. It is ideal portraiture.
