The L-Mesitran Active Large consists of a combined hydrogel and honey pad on a strong fixation layer. The Active Large dressing is ideal for those difficult locations where regular dressings do not adhere or where mobility is key. The Active Large is also perfectly suited for those wounds that need to have the exudates locked away and absorbed, preventing maceration and odor. The dressing will stay on the skin even in the wettest conditions (showering, incontinence), but it does not adhere to the wound. Besides the fact that it's waterproof, it is also touch compatible. Unlike Manuka honey, which is used by competitors like Medihoney, L-Mesitran consists of a blend of medical grade honeys.
