The nine linked rings, which is also called Chinese rings, is perhaps Chinese greatest mechanical puzzle.

Long analyzed by mathematicians and, now also by computer scientists, the puzzle consists of a looped handle that is interlocked with nine rings.

The objective is to remove all nine rings from the loop, and the solution takes 341 moves, so lots of patience is required.

But there is a method to do the solution -and once one learns to solve the puzzle, it is hard to forget!
