The Sorby Texturing and Spiraling System allows the turner to create unique visual and tactile effects on turnings that were impossible for the average craftsman to produce. The spiraling cutters let you make an infinite variety of barley twists, spirals and flutes which are easily repeatable. The degree of off-set determines the pitch of the spiral. The texturing cutter enables you to create striations, whorls, orange peel effects and more. This cutter is just as effective on soft as hard woods, although the result can be markedly different. The complete system includes the handled tool shank, tool rest, 2mm, 4mm, and 6mm spiraling cutters, a texturing cutter, and instructions for use.
