English village life in the 1940s was sweet, as depicted in this charming 1,000 piece puzzle by artist Steve Crisp. The Cake Shop at the front is well stocked with freshly baked breads, scones and cakes as well as ingredients to take home to bake your own in the Aga. In addition there are tempting items for a traditional afternoon break in the Tearoom at the back of the shop, served on fine china. A sponge cake with English strawberries and double cream - what could be more delicious.
