Quad (4-fin) configuration is great for all-around performance. It gives your surfing a "tighter" feeling than with a thruster (3-fin) configuration. Great for driving and pumping down the line on fast waves, and you'll notice more hold in barreling waves. But it's still loose enough to get crazy with your turns and airs.
