The API Bucket/Utility/Bird Bath De-Icer is built with a sturdy aluminum base with a large surface area, allowing the unit to run cooler and more efficiently than conventional de-icers. Multiple thermostats provide efficient temperature control so the water is not excessively heated. Simply place the unit into the water you wish to keep de-iced. Connect the power cord to a properly grounded, GFCI - protected receptacle. The unit will turn on when the water temperature approaches freezing conditions and will heat the water 10 - 20 degrees F before turning off. Multiple thermostats within the unit monitor water temperature as well as guard against overtemp conditions. Comes with a 3 year factory warranty.
