This multi-purpose aluminum lid is flat on the underside so it fits all types of pans, from standard saute pans or stock pots to specialty paella pans. It measures 45 cm, or 17 5/8 inches, in diameter. It will fit straight-sided pans that are 17 inches and smaller in diameter. For slope-sided pans, it can be used on 18 inch pans and will rest just inside the rim of the pan. Due to the flat underside, it rests evenly on all smaller size pans as well. The lid material is a thin lightweight grade of aluminum; the weight of the lid is 8 ounces with the knob. The knob is black plastic and is not oven-safe.
