New chapters to this volume discuss how to develop multisensory structured language lessons, reading remediation for middle and high school students, and using multisensory instruction with English language learners. In addition, the first chapter on research is new and a chapter on vocabulary has been added. Three chapters from the first edition have been dropped: interdisciplinary studies, transition to the general classroom, and instruction for adult basic education. The second edition also includes two online chapters.
