Gustav Klimt defied artistic convention. A leading member of the Austrian art nouveau movement known as the Vienna Secession, Klimt (Austrian, 1862 1918) produced works of startling power, symbolism, and eroticism. The images in this calendar represent some of his best-known paintings, including The Kiss, Adele Bloch-Bauer I, and Portrait of Emilie Flöge.
